Shalom, Shalom!
We received the following E-mail last month, and we just had to
share it with you. You'll understand why.
"I am writing to tell you how your book, THE OLIVE TREE CONNECTION,
has helped me. Well, in all honesty, your book has been a godsend
to me and has helped me in such a tremendous way. I realized like
never before, the necessity and importance of knowing the Jewish
roots of the believer's faith in Jesus. It has been a book of such
clarity and help in m y relationship with Jewish people. In and
of itself it became a tremendous tool for evangelization as its
title caught people's attention and they asked to read it. Along
with the Holy Spirit's work, it began to pierce the hearts of many
of my Jewish friends and it left them with questions that they never
before had to consider.
I had it on my bedside table while I was working on a kibbutz at
Megiddo (Israel) and a couple of my Jewish friends out of curiosity
saw the book and asked if they could take a look at it. They began
flipping through the pages and then asked if they could take it
back to their room and look at it for a few days.
One of the girls was back in my room the next day with the book
in her hand. She said she couldn't put it down and read it all the
night before. She said she was blown away by the content of the
book and how it had completely dispelled all her preconceived notions
of what she thought faith in Jesus was all about. She was astounded
to find out the Jewish roots of the Christian faith and that the
Bible was entirely written by Jewish people. She later began to
read it a second time and then began to devour the Bible. It wasn't
long before she asked her Messiah Yeshua into her heart.
I have given your book to a few other Jewish friends as well and
each person has given me the same response to it and I believe many
are now on their way to trusting Yeshua as Messiah. I hope and pray
that God will continue to use the book. God Bless and thanks!
PS. Please tell your mother that I lent out her book (TIME OF STORM)
as well and about 7 unbelievers have read it, each with the same
response, "I just couldn't put it down, it was such a powerful and
gripping story ? and I don't even believe in God." I know that God
has used that book to plant lasting seeds in the hearts of so many
people."

The summer months are usually very low months in giving to ministries
such as ours. Menorah Ministries has been particularly hard hit
this summer, and so we are facing a serious financial shortage.
In addition, as a family, we Fischers have had some unexpected expenses,
including some significant, unforeseen medical bills. (Thank God,
however, we are all healthy at present.) Please pray about how you
might be able to help.
